Following an impressive run to an NBA Summer League championship title in Las Vegas, the Lakers have become a team to watch next season. Rookie Lonzo Ball showed what he could do during the Summer League while the team also got solid performances from fellow rookie Kyle Kuzma and others.
As if the promise of the young newcomers wasn’t enough to spark optimism about the upcoming season, the team was also able to acquire Brook Lopez and sign free agent Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The addition of these rookies and veterans along with the already talented players on the squad makes what could be a breakout year for the Lakers in which expectations may be exceeded.
The fact that this team is showing chemistry and a willingness to put the extra work in during the offseason only further fuels anticipation for training camp, preseason, and the start of the regular season in October.
