The Los Angeles Lakers were victorious over the rival Boston Celtics by a score of 117-102 on Tuesday night. Star forward LeBron James had his fingerprints all over the victory, as he scored a team-high 30 points and finished a plus-18 for Los Angeles. Lakers legend Magic Johnson took to Twitter to react to James powering his former team to a big win:

Sounds like Magic Johnson was excited to see LeBron Lames lead the Lakers to a win over the Celtics. And why wouldn't he be? It's been a tough start to the season, so it was nice to see them bounce back after a bad loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Plus, Johnson is right, James looked to be locked in last night, scoring 18 in the first half to lead the Lakers to a halftime lead over the Celtics. Los Angeles will need James to take over like that from time to time if they want to make a push up the Western Conference standings.

And beating the rival Celtics, which Johnson knows a thing or two about, would be a great way to start a winning streak. The Lakers get a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, who they defeated earlier this year, followed by easier games against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic.

Magic Johnson could be sending out more excited tweets if LeBron James and the Lakers can take advantage of this easier schedule and start stringing together wins.
