Los Angeles Lakers center Marc Gasol is tough as nails. In case you need convincing just how durable the Spaniard is, check out this gnarly sequence from the Lakers' hosting of the Boston Celtics at Staples Center on Thursday.

Gasol fought hard for a loose ball in the second half, as he dove to the floor in a bid to protect the possession over Celtics guard Kemba Walker. He succeeded, but it came at a painful cost. Replays showed Gasol dislocate his pinky finger during the play.

Here's a closer look.

OUCH.

But instead of whining about it and going back to the bench, Gasol showed that he is more of a do-it-yourself kind of guy. The 36-year-old vet did not bother getting the Lakers medical staff involved as he popped that sucker back himself and stayed in the game

Lakers reporter Mike Trudell confirmed this and noted that the three-time NBA All-Star even drilled a 3-pointer shortly after.

Now that's as resilient as it gets. Gasol, after all, has been playing his best stretch of basketball for the Lakers this season. He's not going to let a bothersome pinky derail his momentum. After being heckled all season long for his underwhelming play for the Purple and Gold, Gasol has played considerably better this month despite going in and out of the lineup due to injuries. The Lakers are already without Andre Drummond due to a toe injury.

Good thing they have a reliable guy like Gasol willing to fight through the pain.
