Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace is no stranger to the headlines. From the infamous ‘Malice at the Palace' incident while a member of the Indiana Pacers, to the various quirky incidents as a member of the Lakers, including his name change, World Peace is seemingly always in the news. Well, guess what? Metta World Peace is in the news again, this time for a since-deleted tweet asking for a certain virus to be explained to him.

Wow. In a long list of tweets-that-someone-should-have-seriously-thought-about-before-sending, this one sent by the former Lakers defensive star perhaps tops the list. Explain COVID. Well, where to start?

This is a pretty apt explanation. But how in the world did he not know about a global pandemic that has literally affected almost every single person in the world? The former Lakers player has ‘World' in his name, or at least he used to, and doesn't know about only the biggest thing happening in the world right now.

World Peace has done some crazy things in his career, like changing his name to Metta World Peace while playing for the Lakers. However, not only is needing to have COVID-19 explained bad enough but searching for answers on the insane world of twitter is perhaps even worse.

No wonder Metta World Peace deleted this tweet.
