Many would say that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is arguably the greatest athlete the world has ever seen. Everyone would probably say he is in the top three, at the very least.

However, for former Laker and NBA champion Metta World Peace, The King did not make the cut on his top-five list:

Everyone on World Peace's list definitely warrants consideration. However, when it comes to the locomotive from Akron, Ohio, it's a no-brainer that he has to be on there.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr even admitted that James might be the best athlete to ever walk the planet.

Of course, being the “best athlete” is a different conversation altogether from being the “best player” in the sport. While James is also in that conversation for the greatest basketball player of all time, it's hard to make an argument against James when it comes to being the “best athlete.”

We simply haven't seen an athlete of James' caliber. With the kind of body that he has, it's mind-boggling how he can move the way he can on the basketball court.

At 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds of muscle, he's obviously a freight train. But he is also really fast and can move his feet well. Oh, and he can also jump out of the gym with the best of them. Nobody in the history of the sport can match James' unique mix of agility, speed, jumping ability, and superhuman strength.

Even at the age of 34, LeBron James does not appear to be slowing down at all. In Year 17, James is arguably still the best player in the NBA. His revenge season is in full swing as the motivated Lakers superstar looks to bring Los Angeles back to the mountaintop and win his fourth NBA championship.
