It looks like former NBA forward Michael Beasley thinks he can help the Los Angeles Lakers amid their recent struggles.

After watching LeBron James and the Lakers get destroyed by the Kevin Durant-less Brooklyn Nets in their Christmas Day showdown, Beasley took it to Twitter to voice out what everyone is thinking: this Purple and Gold franchise needs help.

While that one is obvious, Michael Beasley seems to suggest that the Lakers should consider signing him–possibly as a replacement player amid their COVID-19 concerns? When someone responded that LeBron James and Co. need fresh legs, the former lottery pick seemed offended and fired back, saying he is younger than six of the last eight players the team signed.

The Lakers dropped to 16-18 on the season with their 122-115 defeat to the Nets, raising more concerns about their ability to contend for the title. LeBron scored 39 points and did it all for the team with nine rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block, but his efforts were still not enough to propel them to the equally shorthanded Brooklyn side.

It remains to be seen how Rob Pelinka will address all the issues they are facing right now. Sure, they can take a look at the free agent market and consider guys like Michael Beasley, but a trade could also be an option if they want to shake things up in a bid to make the most of James' final years in the NBA.
