Nike is set to honor Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant with “MAMBA WEEK” beginning on Aug. 24, per Nick DePaula of ESPN.

Several Bryant signature products will be released and the Nike Foundation will make a $1 million donation to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Per a statement from Nike (via DePaula), Bryant's shoes will continue to be on sale.

“Nike will continue to release Kobe Protro shoes, allowing the millions of fans he inspired around the world to keep Bryant’s legacy going. Nike will also continue to work with the NBA to release limited quantities of Bryant’s iconic Los Angeles Lakers jersey.”

Bryant is undoubtedly the greatest player in Lakers franchise history and one of the best basketball players of all time. He won five championships with Los Angeles and two Finals MVPs. Kobe also took home the 2008 regular-season MVP award and two scoring titles.

In 1,346 career games with the Lakers, Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He's universally recognized as the second greatest shooting guard in NBA history behind only Michael Jordan.

While Bryant came up one ring short of tying Jordan with six NBA titles, the Black Mamba (33,643) did score more points than His Airness (32,292)

Kobe Bryant may no longer be with us, but the memories Lakers fans have of him will never vanish and he'll always be remembered and celebrated.
