Following their double-overtime win over the Detroit Pistons just a couple of nights ago, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James revealed that playing two extra sessions isn't good for his heart. For the second straight game, 48 minutes weren't enough for the defending champs to get the job done against another team expected to finish near the bottom of the league standings. Nevertheless, Los Angeles still got the win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, and needed just an extra five minutes.

After the 119-112 victory, James had the following to say about having to play another game that went to overtime, via Harrison Faigen on Twitter.

Nevertheless, The King did note that falling behind early consistently isn't something they want to develop as a habit in the long run.

LeBron James is still in tip-top shape at this point of his career, so it probably wouldn't really matter how many overtimes he played. Nevertheless, it would certainly help them in the long term if they could take advantage of these games against lowly teams like the Thunder and Pistons and get the job done quickly to stay fresh throughout the 72-game marathon and into the postseason.

James put up another masterful performance to lift Los Angeles for the second consecutive game. After delivering in the clutch in their 135-129 double-OT win over the Pistons, James led the Anthony Davis-less Lakers with a triple-double night. The King notched 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists, in the win.

James didn't need to do much on Monday's overtime, unlike on Saturday night against Detroit, where he took over in the second overtime to seal the win. The Lakers' defense locked up the Thunder in the overtime period, holding the young, inexperienced squad to just two points in five minutes. The Lakers, on the other hand, scored nine points in OT on their way to notching another victory.

LeBron James is averaging 25.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game, so far this season.
