The Los Angeles Lakers are currently on the outside of the playoff picture in the Western Conference, but Lakers veteran point guard Rajon Rondo isn't worried at all.

Rajon Rondo, who is still recovering from right hand surgery, says the team has the best player in the world in LeBron James, and once The King comes back, the club will probably go back to its winning ways.

LeBron James has only missed the playoffs twice during his legendary career. That was during his rookie season and sophomore campaign.

Before James went down with the groin injury he suffered against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, the Lakers were the fourth seed in the West. As expected, though, LA has played poorly since LeBron went down.

The loss of Rondo was big as well. The four-time All-Star has had some bad luck this season, as he's undergone two surgeries on his right hand.

Whenever LeBron does return to the lineup, the Lakers are going to have an uphill climb to get back into the postseason picture. The West is so competitive and no one wants to be the eighth seed and play the Warriors in the first-round.

LA will look to get back in the win column on Thursday when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
