Who would have thought we would be able to see LeBron James' name on a Los Angeles Lakers jersey? It was just like a dream that LeBron turned into reality when he signed with the Lakeshow this summer.

Luckily for Los Angeles Rams players Jared Goff and Todd Gurley, they were able to get up close and personal with the new No. 23 purple and gold threads.

LeBron has yet to hit the court in a Lakers jersey, but his new threads are already trending worldwide. Even the world's most celebrated athletes are joining the LeBron James bandwagon trail.

Goff and Gurley are coming off an impressive season that saw the Rams become the highest-scoring team in the NFL just a year after becoming the lowest-scoring team of the league. ESPN's Alden Gonzalez offered a quick historical viewpoint on the Rams' incredible year.

“The Rams are now the only team in the Super Bowl era, which began in 1966, to go from last to first in scoring from one season to the next. The only other team throughout history to accomplish that feat was the 1965 49ers, according to research from the Elias Sports Bureau. The Rams went from averaging 14.0 points per game in 2016 under Jeff Fisher to 29.9 points per game in 2017 under Sean McVay, the youngest head coach in modern NFL history.”

On the other hand, the Lakers are poised to have a break-out season with the world's best basketball player joining forces with young potential stars in Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram.

Los Angeles sports fans have plenty of reasons to be excited as both teams aim to deliver long-awaited championships for the city.
