Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has struggled on the same part of the court he has had throughout his entire career.

James is actually shooting 75.5 percent from the line this season, his best since he was with the Miami Heat during the 2013-14 season.

However, he has missed free throws badly.

Reddit user, quicks12 shares what he thinks is the problem with James struggles at the line.

I think this is LeBron's FT flaw…

Below is a clip of all of the free throws LeBron took last night which can illustrate the major flaw I see in his FT routine. https://youtu.be/8g930pykwCo

Watch his whole routine while paying attention to his gaze towards the rim. Before misses, LBJ bends his knees and lowers his body while looking straight ahead. He eventually brings his focus up gradually to the rim but very late in his shooting process. Before makes, he sets his eyes on the rim much earlier in his routine.

I'd like to see him set his eyes on the rim even earlier than he does. I feel like any player who isn't gazing at the target early enough is forced to hesitate during their shooting motion in order to aim. I think that LeBron happens to focus on the rim earlier when he switches to his ‘fall forward' FT shooting style but must be unaware why this style actually works better for him. I'd like to see him try bringing his gaze to the rim right after the part of his routine where he is preparing to shoot and a couple of seconds before he actually starts his shooting process.

This is pretty interesting to point out and it could be the reason he has struggled at the line throughout his entire career. Free throws are all about concentration and focus. If you loose your concentration and focus, you will likely miss a couple of free throws.

Hesitation in your free throw motion can also severely hurt your chances at the free throw line. It is obviously early in the season and James can work this out.

When James was in Cleveland, his former teammate, Kyle Korver helped James on his free throw routine and that seemed to help out greatly.

However, it seems like James has fallen back into old habits at the line. Every superstar has a struggle somewhere on the court and James struggle happens to be at the free throw line.
