Russell Westbrook isn't exactly a fan-favorite for the Los Angeles Lakers at the moment. On Saturday night against the New York Knicks, the home crowd at Crypto.com Arena let Russ have it after a horrendous miss from the former league MVP.

The term “nothing but net” is a common phrase used in basketball. However, it's not everyday that you see a shot that can be described as “nothing but board.” Well, this is exactly what Westbrook's attempt turned out to be in the second quarter of Saturday's tilt (h/t NBA Central on Twitter):

Talk about a bad miss, right? Westbrook was clearly trying to go glass here but his attempt failed miserably. The unforgiving Lakers crowd made sure to let Russ know how badly he missed that one.

The Lakers are in dire need of a win here after losing four out of their last five games. It's been a rough stretch for LA and a home win against one of their Eastern Conference rivals would be big. This becomes especially true considering how the Lakers face off against the defending champs Milwaukee Bucks, as well as Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors next week. Then again, every victory is important for LA at this point in the season.
