It has been barely a month since Tyson Chandler signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, and the big man has already admitted how much of an impact LeBron James and his leadership has had on him.

Chandler sang LeBron's praises and explained why he has always looked up to James both as a player and a person:

“Honestly, I fully expect everything that he gives,” said Chandler, via Gina Mizell of The Athletic. “He’s been incredible for the game — a Hall of Famer on and off the court for his entire career. We’re close in (draft) classes, a couple years apart, so I’ve been able to watch his journey. I had nothing but respect for him before I got in the (same) locker room, how he’s been able to juggle his success, the expectations and then just the man that he’s become is nothing but respectable.”

Chandler went on to say how fortunate he felt about having the opportunity to play alongside LeBron and experience the type of leadership he brings to the table firsthand:

“I expected the leadership qualities that he has,” added Chandler. “And I think, as a player, you just get excited when you’re playing alongside one of those types of players — one of the greats that you know, if you get them close to the finish line, they’re able to deliver.”

Tyson Chandler has made 13 appearances for the Lakers thus far since signing with the team early in November. The 36-year-old veteran is currently averaging 3.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks in 20.6 minutes per contest.
