Wayne Ellington is still fuming over a contentious incident that went down during the Los Angeles Lakers' season finale against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. Ellington found himself on the floor after being shoved from behind by Facundo Campazzo — an act that led to the ejection of the Nuggets guard.

On Monday, Ellington went off on Campazzo during the Lakers veteran's exit interview. The 34-year-old shooting guard doubled down on his claim that Campazzo's foul was “dirty” and that it was completely uncalled for:

“It was a cheap, dirty play,” Ellington said, Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints. “… Thank God I’m able to sit here today and talk to you guys. Could’ve been much worse…You shove a guy in the back…that’s on the top of the list of the plays you don’t make…That was a dirty ass play.”

Ellington's comments follow his earlier tweet on Sunday wherein the Lakers guard literally threatened Campazzo with some physical violence:

In case you haven't seen the controversial play in question, here it is:

This incident was a bit of a sour note on the Lakers' season-ending victory over the Nuggets. LA, rather surprisingly, ended their horrendous season on a high after taking down a shorthanded Denver side in overtime, 146-141.
