It's no exaggeration to say that Kobe Bryant is beloved by Los Angeles. His untimely passing only immortalized him into the storied lore of the Los Angeles Lakers, and tributes for his incredible life and career keep pouring in. LA-based hip-hop legend Dr Dre is the latest to put out a tribute, and what he did was magic.
He put together an audio-visual spectacle that celebrated every aspect of Bryant's life, from the exciting 18-year-old that electrified the crowd to the doting father of a basketball superstar in Gianna. NBA on TNT shared the perfect tribute.

The horns made everything sound epic. The mixing was signature Dre. The images and in-game sounds will reduce any upstanding Laker fan to tears. The sampling of the iconic beat fromĀ We Will Rock YouĀ and the hook from 2Pac'sĀ California LoveĀ were very apt additions to the tribute.
This was a perfect way to send off such a legendary man. It is a perfect love letter from LA fans to the man who donned 8 and 24.
