The Los Angeles Lakers looked to defend their home floor against the Clippers in the battle of LA during Christmas. There was a key defensive highlight during that matchup that stuck out and it involved Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. When Landry Shamet leaked out in transition, Caldwell-Pope made sure to run the floor hard and prevent the easy score. Instead of fouling, KCP managed to pull off an impressive chase-down block. It was a timely contribution to prevent the Clippers from making it a one-point game.

There has been plenty of criticism for Caldwell-Pope during his time with the Lakers and one defensive highlight obviously isn't going to change a full body of work. At the very least, it's favorable for the Lakers that he is making it a point to give it his all defensively, whether the results are always there or not.
