Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and award-winning actor Channing Tatum recently joined Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show set to complete a series of dares. While it was a funny scene, the real goal in taking the dares was to raise money for charity.

Each dare completed was rewarded with a $10,000 donation from Walmart. James, who joined the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason, was raising money for the I Promise School that he recently opened in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

Ellen directed James and Tatum to two blue dots on the floor, where the two contestants were to stand. James' dare came first.

“LeBron, I would like you to drink a shot of tequila — with no hands,” Ellen said to LeBron James as he stood on the pad.

“For $10,000?,” James asked curiously after looking around a bit.

James made his way over to a table where his shot of tequila awaited. With his arms held behind his back, the King leaned over, took the entire rim of the glass in his mouth, and downed it.

“Yeah… that's real (tequila),” James said with a smile as he walked back to his pad.

Tatum's first dare was far more risque, but also hilarious.

“Channing,” Ellen said with a straight face. “I want you to do your best sexy crawl.”

Tatum, blushing a bit after hearing Ellen's request, obliged, but jokingly noted that the money had better be used for his charity.

James was then asked to put on a blindfold and “lick a mystery item” to have a guess at what it was. Somehow, after just a few awkward licks, the three-time champion was able to decipher that the mystery item was a kiwi.

“How did you know that?” Ellen asked James. “You've licked a kiwi before (haven't you)?”

“The first thing that came to mind, I thought it was an a**,” James replied. “And I was like, ‘Nah, Ellen wouldn't do that to me.' So, I thought it was a kiwi.”

Thanks to an extra donation from Walmart, James and Tatum managed to complete all of their dares and raise $100,000 for their respective charities.
