Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had no choice but to get emotional after he moved ahead of Michael Jordan for on the NBA's all-time scoring list during Wednesday night's game against the Denver Nuggets.

LeBron scored on a left-handed layup at the rim to eclipse Jordan on the list, and it was a moment that will undoubtedly rank among the most notable of his career.

And given the magnitude of now having more points than Jordan, it makes sense that LeBron would take a second to reflect on what he had just achieved.

No matter which person you support in the greatest of all time conversation, it's clear that these are two of the best players to ever step foot on a basketball court.

And for LeBron to be in the same category as Jordan in the scoring department is simply a tremendousĀ achievement.

Yes, LeBron probably would have preferred that it come during a more successful season for the Lakers, but it doesn't take away from the years and years of hard work that has allowed him to get to this point.

LeBron's next target on the scoring list is Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who had 33,643 points for his career.
