Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball put together one of the best defensive possessions of the NBA during Sunday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis took the ball out of bounds and prepared for a trip down the court to play offense, but it was Ball that stole the show with a memorable effort.
Shelvin Mack tried to go coast to coast to score a layup around Ball, and that was not the best of ideas since the Lakers star trailed him the entire way before swatting the shot.
This is just an incredible defensive performance from Lonzo Ball, and it's one that shows what he's capable of when he's at his best.
Ball entered the game averaging 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, and he's fourth on the Lakers in playing 29.1 minutes per contest.
And with an awesome defensive play like this, Luke Walton might be able to find even more minutes for the former UCLA star.
As for the Lakers, they sit at 19-13 on the season after snapping their two-game losing streak with a 112-104 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
LeBron James has certainly made his presence felt in Los Angeles, and his ability to find chemistry with players like Lonzo Ball has helped the Lakers form a pretty cohesive unit to this point in the season after getting off to a 4-6 start early on.
After this matchup against the Grizzlies, the Lakers will prepare for a highly anticipated showdown against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.
