The antics of LaVar Ball appears to receive widespread attention by millions of people around the world. Much to the detest of basketball purists, the Ball family patriarch has evolved from a sports dad into one of the most received voices in sports entertainment. However, by no means is Ball a basketball professional. He simply thrives on using the platform that is given to him by making inflammatory remarks on any topics he chooses. This, in fact, endears a lot of listeners to him, whether they are critical of his voice or supportive.

In recent news, Ball was invited into the popular TV series, Lip Sync battle, where celebrity contestants perform their favorite songs without actually singing them. Of course, Ball chose a song that resembled himself and the massive attention he is receiving from sports fans and the media. He performed his own rendition of Nas' hit, “Hate me now”.

The song, similar to its name, discusses the life of Nas and how his haters inspired his success. Fittingly, it doesn't take a rocket science to understand why Ball chose this song. Before Lonzo Ball was drafted, his father began making incredulous statements about himself and the Lakers point guard.

Many people instantly wanted to see LaVar Ball fail, and so far, it hasn't truly manifested. the Lakers drafted Lonzo Ball, like his father predicted they would, and LaVar Ball is still expressing his opinion with reckless abandon. In any case, this song choice probably wasn't random. Earlier in 2017, Lonzo Ball dissed Nas, stating that he wasn't relevant anymore. Apparently, LaVar Ball is a fan of the old-school rapper.
