LeBron James will suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers Friday when they take on Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans in Los Angeles at Staples Center.

LeBron James was dealing with an illness in the morning and the Lakers weren't sure if The King was going to be able to play.

In his first season with the Lakers, LeBron James is averaging 28.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. The four-time MVP is shooting 52.0 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from beyond the arc and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers are currently on a two-game losing streak. LA is 18-13 on the season, fourth place in the Western Conference.

With Anthony Davis in town, there's a lot of hoopla surrounding this game. LeBron James recently said it would be incredible if Davis was on the Lakers. The Pelicans want James to be fined for tampering. We'll see if that actually happens.

In nine games in December, James is averaging 27.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game. The King has 14 double-doubles on the season and two triple-doubles. Some believe James is the front runner for the MVP since he's guiding LA to a winning record for the first time in years.
