The NFL has released the schedules for all 32 teams which means fans, media and players alike have been busy discussing the eventual matchups. Of course, most of the talk has centered around who teams are playing first, but in some cases, it has been about who they are playing last.

For example, take Detroit Lions defensive back Darius Slay and his tweet about the Lions Week 17 contest.

The last few weeks of the season will be a bit chilly for the Lions.

They play at home in Week 16 against the Vikings. Technically, it is not a cold weather game since the Lions play under a dome. But in Week 15, they go to Buffalo, you know—where it has been known to get pretty cold from time to time.

Playing a game in the cold in Green Bay is almost like receiving a rite of passage in the NFL. You kind of look forward to it because it is one of the most iconic stadiums in the NFL today. But then again, when you see that the temperature on the field is going to be, the last thing you want to do is be outside.

Slay is no stranger to the Packers, of course. He was drafted by the Lions back in 2013 and has played for them ever since. This will not be his first Week 17 visit to the Frozen Tundra. The Lions finished the 2014 season against the Packers in Green Bay. They also finished the last two seasons against the Packers, but both games were in Detroit.
