There are going to be quite a few teams that are interested in selecting Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft and the Detroit Lions could reap the benefits. Ahead of the NFL combine, Detroit is open to trading the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tori Petry, an established writer for the Lions, recently sat down with Bob Quinn — the general manager of the Lions. In the interview, Quinn said that he is ‘open to any trades' pertaining to Detroit's No. 3 pick.

“The higher you are up in the draft, really the sooner the conversations begin,” Quinn said via Petry. “I have not had any trade conversations with anybody as of yet. Those usually tend to start in the combine in the hallway that we kind of roll through and we’ll see how that goes.”

In light of Quinn's comments, the NFL combine is set to get underway. Throughout the combine, Quinn is likely going to be speaking with some teams to see what he could acquire with the third-overall pick.

As previously mentioned, there are going to be teams clamoring to select Tagovailoa in the upcoming draft. With Detroit having a top-five pick, they are in a prime position for a team to trade up to.

Behind the Lions, the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, and Carolina Panthers are all in the market for a quarterback. Seeing that the Dolphins have the most draft picks, most people believe Miami is the most likely suitor for the No. 3 pick.

Despite there being teams interested in the No. 3 pick, the Lions could stay pat in the first round. However, once Quinn hears some of the offers, it's unlikely he'll be able to say no to trading back.
