The Miami Dolphins are amid a complete rebuild and will have three first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Among their endless options, Miami could decide to package some of their draft capital and trade up in the draft, according to general manager Chris Grier via the Miami Herald.

Heading into the offseason, the Dolphins have their sights set on finding their next franchise quarterback. Currently, Miami is planning on having Ryan Fitzpatrick return in 2020. But with Fitzpatrick being 37 years old, the Dolphins realize they need his replacement in the near future.

Since last offseason, the Dolphins have been linked to Tua Tagovailoa. Despite Tagovailoa's hip injury, there are going to be other teams who are extremely interested in trading up to select the Alabama quarterback.

However, with the Dolphins sitting at the No. 5 pick, they may need to trade up themselves if they want Tagovailoa in Miami. Luckily for them, they have “more than enough” ammo to move up in the draft to get him as Chris Grier alluded to. The Dolphins' general manager was very complimentary of Tagovailoa when speaking about him.

“He’s been a winner,” Grier said. “The fact that he won the Elite 11 and he goes to Alabama and has the storybook, coming off the bench in the national championship. Everyone always talks about his accuracy, et cetera. Talk about the person, as well. The intangibles that we talk about. Looking forward to getting to meet him.”

In today's NFL, it is vital to have a franchise quarterback in place to succeed. Sometimes, to find that quarterback, you have to cede part of the future in the form of draft picks.
