LSU football head coach Brian Kelly was excited about defeating Nick Saban and Alabama. However, he gave a brutally honest response when asked if the victory was the best of his coaching career, per Brody Miller.

“The biggest win of my career will be the one when we win the national championship.”

Kelly has bigger goals than winning a regular season game over the Crimson Tide. However, defeating a college football powerhouse such as Alabama is not only impressive, but it plays a pivotal role in making the playoffs and possibly the national championship game down the road.

LSU football narrowly pulled out an overtime 32-31 victory over Alabama. It was a game for the ages, as the Tigers pulled off the upset. The Tigers were led by QB Jayden Daniels, who previously revealed LSU's lofty expectations.

“Its lofty expectations here,” Daniels said. “Anything less than 10 wins is a loss here.”

Both Brian Kelly and Jayden Daniels clearly have their eyes on the prize for this LSU football team. According to the AP Top 25 Poll, LSU has moved all the way to No. 7 after being ranked No. 15 last week, per CBS Sports. Meanwhile, Alabama fell to No. 10 following their defeat at the hands of the Tigers.

In the end, making the College Football Playoff will still be difficult for LSU Football given the talent ahead of them. But they are making a run and cannot be counted out. Brian Kelly has the Tigers in position to continue shocking the college football world.
