Orlando Magic All-Star center Nikola Vucevic will miss a minimum of four weeks with a right ankle injury, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Magic already had one of the worst offenses in the league and taking their leading scorer and rebounder could put them in serious trouble after a 6-8 start to the season.

Orlando was reportedly eyeing San Antonio Spurs swingman DeMar DeRozan in recent weeks, given their offensive shortcomings. Vucevic's injury could likely put the Spurs' front office in speed dial, as the Magic can't afford a dropoff after winning four of their last six games to get back in the mix.

If Vooch misses more than a month, it's likely he won't come back until the flip of the calendar in 2020, which would give him an extra two weeks to recover from his injury.

Vucevic was spotted leaving Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors on crutches and in a walking boot, a sign that the Magic were looking at a long-term absence. Vooch's soonest-possible return would be Dec. 18, which would be the halfway point of a four-game road trip for the Magic.

If the franchise chooses to be more careful, they could sit him out for longer, as stated above. Mo Bamba and Khem Birch will fill in at center in his absence, which could mean the former could finally see his minute restriction be lifted due to Vucevic's loss.
