The Manchester United Red Devils have reportedly engaged in discussions with Real Madrid former manager Zinedine Zidane, as the club looks to turn its fortunes around.

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might be on the hot seat. Despite the wealth of talent on the club's roster, Manchester United has struggled this season in the English Premier League.

With 11 matches played, Manchester United sits 6th in the EPL table. They have 17 points, nine behind Chelsea who leads the table early on. Manchester United has only won one of their last five matches and have been looking for answers.

It's not only that the team is struggling to find wins, it's how it happening. After a 2-nil shutout loss in the Manchester Derby to City, they find themselves being dominated. Outside of a 3-nil victory over Tottenham, they have been outscored 13-3 recently.

When Man U brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, it was thought this team could roll. On paper, they look unstoppable. They have so many standout players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, and the list goes on.

Yet, the team has not gelled. They are also dealing with a rash of injuries. Pogba, Cavani and Raphael Varane have already been ruled out for Saturday's match against Watford.

One of the sticking points in signing Zinedine Zidane is the Frenchman's goal of focusing on the national team. Zidane managed Spanish side Real Madrid to league titles, Champions League titles and an immense amount of success.

Pair that with his prowess when he took the pitch as a player, and you have one of the greatest, most influential people in the history of the sport. Manchester United needs a shot in the arm, and this might be the man to give it to them.
