The UConn Huskies are headed to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2014 when they won the National Championship, and Adama Sanogo has been historically dominant in the first two games of the NCAA Tournament.

Adama Sanogo is the first player to average 25 points, 10 rebounds and 70% shooting through his first two games in a single NCAA Tournament since Blake Griffin in 2009, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Blake Griffin did it against Morgan State and Michigan in his first two games. Sanogo has just done it against Iona and St. Mary's. The UConn Huskies will move on and face the Arkansas Razorbacks in Las Vegas on Thursday.

In the first game against Iona, Sanogo scored 28 and went 13-17 shooting, with 13 rebounds. Backup center Donovan Clingan nearly had a double-double as well with 12 points and nine rebounds. The Huskies thrive in many ways, but Sanogo and Donovan Clingan's presence inside is something that very few teams in the country can deal with.

Sanogo scored 24 and went 11-16 shooting, with eight rebounds. Sanogo was undoubtedly the Huskies' best player this weekend, but the contributions from others on the roster makes the team so dangerous.

Jordan Hawkins is one of the best shooters in all of college basketball, and he did not score in the first half of either of the two games the Huskies played. He caught fire in the second half of both games, and helped UConn pull away in each of them.

Andre Jackson is a key as well, as a defender and a ball handler.

As the Huskies head into Las Vegas to face the Arkansas Razorbacks, Sanogo comes in playing some of the best basketball he has played in his college career.
