Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, is actively critical of Donald Trump's presidency ever since he took office back in January (to a certain degree, he was even critical of his political agenda before finally being elected). He is constantly stating his own political opinions so long as he sees his views as justifiable.

Although this is a great attitude to have given his prominent platform in society, Cuban also heeds caution to those in similar positions, as he knows this could very well bite him back down the road.

“You want to make nice with the president because you’re a public company and you have shareholders, and it’s hard to balance doing the right financial thing versus doing what they think is the right thing, whatever your political beliefs are,” Cuban told the Star-Telegram. “It’s not an easy position to be in.”

Obviously, Cuban has great pride for the country he lives in, but he must acknowledge the troubling times this nation has had to face.

“Do what you think is right,” Cuban continued. “Be an American citizen first. In the bigger scheme of things, our country benefits from peaceful activism a lot more than it benefits from one more shoe being sold, or one more basketball ticket being sold, for that matter. The people that say stay away from politics are the people that are looking for politics.”
