With the NBA suspension giving NBA players a lot of free time, Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis took the opportunity to engage with Mavs fans and answer some interesting questions.
In a Q&A session on Instagram, Porzingis was asked to name his top five basketball players of all time — even those who are still actively playing. Sure enough, the Latvian did not forget about the Mavs' very own icon and acknowledged Dirk Nowitzki on his Top 5 list.
He also cited Kyrie Irving at point guard, the late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant at shooting guard, Kevin Durant at the three and Shaquille O'Neal at the five.

While some players would include their own name in their list, Kristaps certainly wants to get on the good side of Mavs fans. Nowitzki is undoubtedly one of the greatest power forwards of all time, and he is much loved in Dallas where he spent his 21-year NBA career.
It is worth noting, however, that Chicago Bulls legend and the consensus G.O.A.T Michael Jordan is missing on his list. One could also make a case for LeBron James over KD, especially since LeBron has dominated the 2010s with a yearly appearance at the NBA Finals.
Regardless of what others would say though, Kristaps Porzingis is merely stating his opinion. The Mavs star also highlighted that his Top 5 list would be definitely entertaining to watch — from Kyrie Irving's handles, Kobe and Durant's scoring, Dirk's ability to space the floor and Shaq's utter dominance.
The NBA is far from resuming its operation, so this might be only the beginning of players giving their best and hottest takes as they try to kill time before the league decides on the future of the 2019-20 campaign amid the coronavirus scare.
