There has been a lot of speculation lately regarding the nature of the relationship between Dallas Mavericks stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Mavs owner Mark Cuban recently addressed it, saying there are occasional “dust-ups” but the situation is mostly fine while comparing the relationship to the one shared by Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry back during their heyday in Dallas.

Porzingis recently weighed in on Cuban's comments, and he seemed to take some issue with the “dust-ups” line. KP even claimed he had no idea what Cuban was referring to with it.

Via Sportando:

“I’ve never had any problems with my teammates off the court, I’ve always gotten along very well with them. I don’t know what Cuban was talking about. I try to be as professional as possible, do what I have to do and be a soldier for the team.”

The Doncic-Porzingis relationship will obviously be something to monitor moving forward. The Mavs have a lot invested in this duo, and the talk about how they do or don't get along doesn't seem to be going away.

Perhaps even more important right now, though, is Porzingis actually staying on the court. The Mavs star continues to have issues with his health, as he has only played 40 games this season and hasn't played since the end of April due to a nagging knee injury.

Dallas has held serve without Porzingis in the lineup, getting to 40-28 on the season after a sluggish start. Doncic has obviously been incredible leading the way to get Dallas to the No. 5 spot in the Western Conference.

However, if the Mavs are going to make a deep playoff run, they need Porzingis to be healthy and playing at a high level. He should be back this week for the final regular-season push.
