It's safe to say Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic are going along quite well with the Dallas Mavericks.

Both players played previously in Spain before entering the NBA. Porzingis played for Sevilla while Doncic was a member of Real Madrid.

With that said, it's not surprising that they can relate with each other in a variety of ways. And according to Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle, that is pretty clear right now as they even listen to the same music together…in Spanish.

With the Mavs previously housing a similar duo in Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash, the comparisons are already pouring in from all angles. And the future continues to look brighter and brighter for the upstart Western Conference franchise.

“We obviously think Porzingis is a great young talent, similar in many ways to Dirk,” Carlisle previously said during an appearance on ESPN 103.3 FM. “This is kind of a Dirk-and-Nash type of situation—only these guys are taller.”

Unfortunately for just about everyone outside of New York City, it is unlikely that Kristaps Porzingis will play this season. Allowing Luka Doncic, a rookie, to get one full NBA season under his belt before having him join forces with “The Unicorn” isn't the worst idea.

Besides, Rick Carlisle and his Mavericks are not really in title contention just yet. There's also the fact that Porzingis is still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered during his time with the Knicks.
