If it seems like Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic just can't seem to beat the New York Knicks when playing at home, that's because he really hasn't won against them at American Airlines Center.
As StatMuse pointed out, Doncic is 0-4 against the Knicks when the Mavs play at home. In fact, while he has an 80-52 home record, he hasn't beaten the New York franchise in his stomping ground.
It's either Luka Doncic just don't have the energy when playing against the Knicks at home or New York simply has the Slovenian's number. Still, it's a bit weird since Dallas was able to stage big comebacks against better teams but struggle against a lowly New York franchise that aren't even in play-in contention.
The Mavs were horrendous on Monday, going 27-of-86 as a team. They particularly had a hard time making their triples, with the team going 6-of-44 from deep for 13.64 percent shooting. While the Knicks were also bad on that end, they did better in making their 2-pointers.
Doncic, for his part, finished with 31 points. However, he was a big part of the problem as well after making just three of his 11 attempts from deep.
The Knicks swept their two-game season series with the Mavs. Now, hopefully, Luka and co. can bounce back from the demoralizing loss and get into another win streak as they try to climb the Western Conference standings.
