The ongoing bidding war for Luka Doncic's shoe deal may soon come to an end as an established brand is reportedly close to signing the highly sought after Dallas Mavericks superstar.

Will Cain of ESPN recently hinted that the Slovenian sensation will be signing with Jordan Brand. He announced the development by sharing a GIF of the famed Jumpman logo on Friday.

If this is indeed true, Doncic will join a stable of NBA athletes associated with the brand, which includes All-Stars like Jimmy Butler, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, among others. The top pick from the 2019 NBA Draft, Zion Williamson, also recently joined the brand.

Without a shoe deal in place, Doncic has had complete freedom in terms of his playing sneakers this season and has been rocking multiple brands for the Mavs. He played with Under Armour's Curry 7s “Sour Patch Kids” colorway last month, which led to speculations that he might soon join Stephen Curry as ambassadors of the brand.

Delivering MVP-worthy numbers of 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.9 assists while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 32.6 from three in just his second season in the league, Doncic's stock has risen through the roof. Shoe brands have been quick to try and pounce on his growing popularity and it looks like Jordan Brand has once again edged its rivals by plucking Donic from shoe free agency.

Doncic is currently sidelined and has missed the last two games for Dallas due to an ankle injury. With the way he is playing, we can definitely expect a Doncic signature line pretty soon.
