Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic showed off his skills in Sunday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder by pulling out a great move on Paul George. The Mavs picked up a much-needed 105-103 victory, which helped them keep some positive momentum going after the recent six-game losing streak.
One of the most noteworthy plays of the game came in the first quarter when Doncic started his drive to the basket.
After a nice little fake in one direction, Luka Doncic went the other way and caused George to momentarily lose his balance which allowed the rookie to score the easy bucket.
Luka Doncic led the way for Dallas with 25 points and seven assists, while Harrison Barnes added 16 points.
DeAndre Jordan also offered a big boost for the Mavs by earning a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds.
But it's the play of Doncic that has continued to garner tons of praise from players and coaches around the league, as he has been the type of player that Dallas fans were hoping that he would be.
He's now averaging 19.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game in his first season in the NBA, and that likely has him in the lead in the Rookie of the Year race.
He'll try to keep his momentum going on Monday night when the Mavs head to Oklahoma City for the rematch with the Thunder.
After that, the road swing will continue for Dallas as it'll prepare for three more road games against the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, and Philadelphia 76ers.
