The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday in a matchup between two AFC North rival teams. The Ravens are coming off back-to-back losses entering their battle against the Steelers, and there appears to be some sense of desperation from Baltimore. If you ask Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, though, he is adamant that they too aren't lacking in motivation.

According to Tomlin, he is confident that his team will be gunning for a W as well — perhaps even more so than their opponents:

“We are desperate too,” said Tomlin, via the team's official website. “We are all desperate to win this week. I imagine they view us in the same way, or I would imagine it would behoove them to do so. That is our attitude each and every week. We respect everyone and the level of desperation and urgency everyone has as we step into the stadium ready to match it.”

The 10-0 Steelers do not only hold the best record in the league, but they have also established themselves as arguably the best team in the NFL today. Despite their current stature, however, Tomlin is making sure that his team isn't resting on their laurels.

At 6-4, the Ravens are quickly falling out of contention in the conference. They currently sit at third in the AFC North, behind the Cleveland Browns, who themselves have won two straight. Another loss on Thursday against the league-best Steelers will only compound Baltimore's woes.
