Philadelphia Phillies right fielder and former MLB MVP Bryce Harper is doing his part to protest the recent death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.

The 27-year-old star posted a photo of himself down on one knee, which has become a powerful symbol for protesting racial injustices.

The MLB star also accompanied his photo with a beautiful message about the fight against racism. One of the most striking lines in his statement read how he does not presume to feel the pain of those that are oppressed because of the color of their skin, but that regardless of this, he offers them his full support in whatever way he can:

“I will never know what it is like to be an African American man, woman, or child. The one thing I do know is I will always stand with them and for them,” Bryce Harper wrote.

Harper then sent out a strong message about the need for everyone to get involved. According to six-time MLB All-Star, no one should be spared of having to speak out and stand up for social justice. He also holds himself accountable in this fight.

“We as Americans have to come together and stop this in all walks of life. I will listen, speak up, love, stand, and act for what I believe is right. I will never stop!!”

Harper has sent out an inspiring message here. It is commendable how he is using his celebrity status to fight what he believes is right, and odds are he will be able to influence more than a few folks with his statement.
