The MLB trade deadline just keeps on going and going and going. Now, the Washington Nationals have traded slugger Kyle Schwarber to the Boston Red Sox, according to Mark Feinsand.

The Nationals have now traded Brad Hand, Max Scherzer, Trea Turner, AND Schwarber all within hours of each other as their fire sale continues to burn. A wild day in the MLB, and there are still hours left until the trade deadline, with the Chicago Cubs still holding on to Kris Bryant and Craig Kimbrel.

After the New York Yankees acquired Joey Gallo AND Anthony Rizzo, the Red Sox felt even more pressure to do something. Boston had been in the market for a left-handed power bat to add to their lineup and finally get one with Schwarber coming to town.

On the year, Schwarber has a .253 batting average and has totaled 25 home runs and 53 RBIs, and adding his bat to the Red Sox lineup will provide them with a much-needed boost as they do whatever it takes to walk away with the American League East crown.

Stay tuned, the MLB trade deadline is far from over and some big names are still available, with Kris Bryant leading the pack.
