It's no secret that Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid don't get along. The pair have been at odds since December of 2017, and drama has followed the pair every time they have faced each other since.

That drama was turned up to 11 when the two both ended up on Team Giannis for this year's All-Star Game. When asked about each other at Saturday's media day, the two had very different responses.

Embiid gave a lengthy response, repeating that he didn't care about having Westbrook on his team. Westbrook, on the other hand, kept it short and sweet:

“Next question.”

Their dispute began during a December 2017 game between the two teams. Oklahoma City center Steven Adams fouled out late in the game, and Embiid made a show of waving him back to the bench. After the Thunder won the game, Westbrook returned the favor, waving Embiid to the locker room.

When the two teams met again the next month, Embiid got his revenge. He dunked over Westbrook and stared him down as he ran down the court. In last year's All-Star Game, the two met again. Embiid got the better of Westbrook once again, draining a three over him and swatting his transition lay-up.

In a January 2019 contest between the two teams, Embiid hit Westbrook with a hard foul late in the fourth quarter. Westbrook took offense and tried to go after Embiid. After the game, Westbrook – as he does – kept his response short, while Embiid elaborated.

When asked if he and Embiid were “cool”, Westbrook had a quick – and explicit answer.

“F**k no,” he said.

For what it’s worth, Embiid didn’t seem to quite understand why Westbrook was so angry.

“I think I was going for the ball, and I think he lost the ball, but I was already in the air,” Embiid said. “I don’t know why he was mad. I have no idea … but he’s always in his feelings.”

The two found themselves to be NBA All-Star teammates after the first trade in the two-year history of the NBA All-Star Game Draft. Westbrook was originally selected by Team LeBron, but was traded to Team Giannis in exchange for Ben Simmons.

We'll see if the drama follows the pair onto the court on Sunday night.

The 2019 NBA All-Star Game begins at 8:00 P.M. EST on TNT.
