DeAndre Ayton is expected to be the first pick in the NBA draft this year, and as good as his basketball skills are, his best quality might actually be his personality. It's not just one personality either for Ayton, he has a couple. Ayton is his himself, but when he wants to have a bit of fun he will pull out Josh or Alejandro.

“We’ll be sitting on a plane and if things are quiet he’ll start talking in his Josh voice,” said Jeff Dean, Arizona basketball public address announcer via AZ Central. “Josh is a middle-aged yuppie White guy who talks about fun family vacations they went on in the 1980s.”

Alejandro is a guy that Ayton will pull out during interviews that has a perfect Venezuelan accent. Ayton said he watched a lot of Spiderman when he was younger and the Green Goblin had multiple personalities, and that is something he thought would be fun, so he tried it.

According to some of his Arizona Wildcats teammates, he doesn't pull them out all the time, but the more comfortable he gets with a person, the more likely he is to use it.

Ayton has a great personality, but because he jokes around doesn't mean that he doesn't take his craft seriously, he does.

But that desire to have a good time, Lorenzo Romar said, shouldn’t be misconstrued as Ayton not taking his craft seriously. It’s almost as if Ayton has, well, split personalities. Romar described his on-court persona as “fiery,” “emotional” and “so competitive.”
