Texas Longhorns center Jaxson Hayes will rock a Sideshow Bob necklace at the 2019 NBA Draft.

NBA Draft's official Twitter account posted a photo of Hayes' unique look on Thursday.

The 19-year-old Hayes (6'10”, 219 lbs.) declared for the draft after playing just one year for the Longhorns. He averaged 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds during his freshman year last season.

Some NBA draft experts believe Hayes will fall somewhere in the Top 10. He could wind up with a team such as the Atlanta Hawks, who need a strong inside presence.

The NBA's official website dubbed Hayes “a gifted athlete.”

Possesses tremendous size and very good length for a center already measuring 6'11.5 in a shoes with a 7'3.5 wingspan and a lean 219-pound frame, but could conceivably continue growing.

Gifted athlete with very good mobility for his size. Has room to get stronger, but was not shy about mixing it up in traffic as a freshman.

The same source also says Hayes is “exceptionally long, fluid, and athletic” and is a “talented shot blocker with superb timing.”

Hayes should become a superb rim protector once he plays in the NBA. While it may take a season or two for him to develop, he has tremendous upside. If he can complement his athleticism with a stellar work ethic, he will have a bright future in the pros. Best of luck to Jaxson Hayes in the 2019 NBA Draft.
