There's been a pile of conflicting reports on who will be selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. LaMelo Ball was — according to some sources — losing draft stock after flunking some of his interviews with teams slated with top picks.

It appears much of that speculation about LaMelo Ball isn't accurate, however. ESPN's Jonathan Givony reporting that the league-wide expectation is that the Minnesota Timberwolves will still select Ball with the first pick.

Givony also reported, as much expected, that Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman will round out the top three of the draft after LaMelo Ball.

“Unless a surprise trade completely disrupts the top of the draft, LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman are likely to make up the top three in some order, according to conversations with multiple team executives, scouts and agents,” wrote Givony.

There have been a number of reports suggesting that LaMelo Ball could possibly fall to the Golden State Warriors with the No.2 pick, which would pair the 19-year old with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Yet if the T-Wolves are set to take Ball, that could definitely shake things up a bit for the Warriors, who were reportedly “blown away” with Deni Avdija during a private workout in late October. If that's the case, then either Wiseman or Edwards could find themselves falling outside of the top three picks.

That is all assuming Minnesota doesn't find a reasonable trade suitor ahead of the draft, which also remains a possible option.
