Adam Silver's tenure as NBA commissioner hasn't been without its ups and downs, but Silver's recent decisions have mostly paid off, including the ongoing In-Season Tournament.

The league is still adjusting to the arrival of popular rookies including Victor Wembanyama, who spoke about his newfound fame. League games reached an attendance record never seen before amid the tourney.

On Tuesday, Silver sat down for a discussion with Sirius XM NBA Radio.

Silver's Grand Vision for NBA Draft

He addressed the possibility of turning the NBA Draft into a two-day event as soon as this coming June, while also musing about the possibility of adding more teams to the league because of the growing pool of basketball talent available.

“Just do it over the phone and bang it out in one night. We don't need the circus,” one fan said in response on X.

“Outstanding idea. That gives the players who are in the second round the real NBA draft experience,” another fan added.

Adam Silver's Place in NBA History

Adam Silver's brainchild, the NBA In-Season Tournament, continued on Tuesday night with a marquee matchup pitting the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.

Silver was appointed NBA Commissioner on February 1, 2014. He presides over a media organization spanning five different sports leagues including the NBA, WNBA, G League, NBA 2K League and Basketball Africa League.

The NBA has had just five commissioners in its 77-year history as a professional sports league, with Silver taking over for David Stern, perhaps the most well known NBA league commissioner in history.
