NBA legend Bill Russell has been vocal about his criticisms of President Donald Trump, and that trend continued on Saturday.

Trump recently said he's done more for African Americans than any other President. Upon hearing that statement, Russell took to Twitter to rip Trump, again.

Bill Russell recently bashed Donald Trump for his stance on kneeling during the national anthem. African Americans have been trying to tell Trump and other critics that kneeling during the anthem is about protesting racial injustices, not the American flag or military.

Russell has always been at the forefront of the fight for civil rights. The NBA champion and his wife took to the streets recently to participate in some peaceful protests following the tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

Since the NBA is mostly made up of African Americans, some players are hesitant to resume the 2019-20 season at Walt Disney World since there's a lot of racial tension across the nation right now. The league does require players to stand for the national anthem, for what it's worth.

This won't be the last time we see an NBA player, past or current, bash Trump. After all, he has become one of the most polarizing presidents of all time. From LeBron James to Stephen Curry to Bill Russell, sports superstars aren't going to back down to Trump.
