Former NBA player Chandler Parsons was interviewed by TMZ asking about his return to basketball. Parsons was involved in a car crash with a drunk driver in 2020.

Chandler Parsons had this to say,

“Working out staying in shape. But trying to still recover from the car crash last year. Still kind of managing everything. I hurt my neck, my shoulder, and kind of had a serious brain injury. Yeah, I mean I never thought I would retire at 31 years old and you know I was in great shape and I was finally healthy and it kind of sucked, it was bad timing.”

Parsons added that he had a baby recently.

From the look of things, it looks like Parsons is gradually getting better. It's unfortunate that at only age 31 he's not in the NBA. He still probably had another five-plus year in the league.

Throughout his career, he played for the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and most recently the Atlanta Hawks in 2019. Parson's best years were with the Rockets and the Mavericks. In 2013 with the Rockets he averaged 16.6 points per game and in 2014 with the Mavericks he averaged 15.7 points per game.

It would be nice to see Parsons make his return sometime in the future to a basketball court. It seems like he's dealing with some serious injuries according to himself. Fortunately for Parsons, he was able to have a baby recently as that's more important than basketball.
