The biggest news in the NBA world in the past week came on Wednesday when the Houston Rockets dealt James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. While making an appearance on ESPN with Stephen A. Smith, Charles Barkley shared his first reaction to Harden's blockbuster trade to the Nets.

Barkley said that when he heard that Harden was on his way to Brooklyn, he immediately thought the Nets were going to become the ‘greatest soap-opera ever'. Of course, that is in response to Harden joining a team that already features star players like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

While Harden was a fan-favorite in his first eight seasons with the Rockets, the end of his time in Houston ended with drama. The eight-time NBA All-Star was absent from the beginning of training camp with the Rockets as he desired a trade from the team following a regime change during the offseason.

After a double-digit loss to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this week, Harden didn't hold back on how he felt about Houston's roster. As a result, the Rockets engaged further in trade talks with multiple teams, ultimately dealing him to the Nets.

There's no doubt that the trio of Harden, Irving, and Durant is the best trio in the NBA right now. But with all of them being ball-dominant players, it remains to be seen if they all buy-in to sacrificing insane numbers to win games.

At the same time, all of them are players with interesting personalities, which could cause issues behind closed doors. Judging by his comments, it's safe to say that Barkley is confident that the Nets aren't going to be able to avoid drama with Harden, Irving, and Durant.
