Hussle, who is Ermias Davidson Asghedom in real life, was 33 years old. The rapper has a wife, Lauren London, and two kids.

According to reports, Nipsey was in his clothing store when the incident happened. Two other people were shot inside the store, although their identities are still unknown at the moment.

Witnesses have described the suspect as a black male in his 20s. The gunman reportedly approached Hussle by foot and then fired multiple gunshots before leaving with what witnesses claim to be a waiting vehicle just near the crime scene.

The authorities believe Nipsey's murder is gang related.

This isn't the first time that someone threatened to kill Nipsey. Back in September 2018, several gunshots were also heard in the rapper's clothing store, but he wasn't there when it happened.

Nipsey is known in the local communities of Los Angeles as someone who pushed to prevent gang motivated crimes.

Additional updates of this developing story are expected to come out within the next few hours.

Nipsey has been in the rap industry since the early 2000s. His album called Victory Lap received a Grammy nomination for best rap album last month.
