Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade has chimed in on the recent beef between Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard and Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal. For his part, Wade opted to come to the defense of Shaq, who he happened to have played with for a few seasons during the latter's four-year stint with Miami.

In Lillard's recently-released diss track against O'Neal — a rebuttal from Shaq's own attack on Dame — Damian Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A. took a shot at the legendary big man, saying that he was no longer relevant during O'Neal's time with the Heat.

This is what Wade took a bit of an exception from, as he explained to the cameras of TMZ why he disagrees with Lillard's notion.

Wade gives credit where it is due right here, admitting that he would not have won that championship in 2006 had Shaq not been around to help him out. Wade was indeed the superstar that led the Heat to that glorious title run, but even he himself knows that it would not have been possible without O'Neal.

When further questioned about what he thinks of the ongoing feud, Wade opted to play it down, saying that he thinks it's time for this beef to come to an end. Wade seems to believes that both guys have made their own points clear, and that it's better for both parties to move on at this point.

Nevertheless, Wade did admit to have enjoyed the back-and-forth between Lillard an O'Neal. This has perhaps been the general sentiment of the entire basketball world over this ongoing feud, so it was indeed fun while it lasted.
