Shaquille O'Neal's broadcasting career is most known for his debates with fellow NBA legend Charles Barkley and his criticism of younger players. Shaq's antics have not been well-received by some fans who have been tagging him a “hater” and “over-sensitive.” But for Dwyane Wade and Gilbert Arenas, they know exactly where Shaq is coming from.

Shaq has lambasted the likes of JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard in the past. His most recent target was Rudy Gobert after the Jazz center inked a lucrative contract.

Arenas and Wade sat down together in an interview on Fubo Sports to discuss Shaq's biting criticisms towards the aforementioned players. Arena said Shaq is just playing mental games.

“He comes from an era where the reverse psychology is how you push a player and that’s Shaq.”

Wade, meanwhile, integrated his experience in trying to analyze Shaq. Wade, who won a championship with Shaq with the Miami Heat in 2006, admitted he was initially hesitant in criticizing the players. But at the end of the day, it is his job to do so, even using Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green as an example.

“I was like, ‘I don’t want to do TV. I won’t become a hater.’ I always had this perception that when you get on TV, you become a hater. When you get on TV, and now that I am, all your job is to talk about what you see. It’s kind of our job to sit back and watch all play. And if I watch Draymond play, and Draymond got zero points, one rebound, two assists, it’s my job to come on TV and talk about that. But it depends on how it is delivered. It can come off as hating or not.”

Agree with Wade and Arenas? Or is Mr. Shaquille O'Neal simply a sensitive hater?
