Johnson, a prolific scorer during his prime, spent 17 seasons in the NBA. Aside from the Hawks, he also had stints with the Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, Utah Jazz, and Houston Rockets.

He has career averages of 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.

Big3, sponsored by rapper and entrepreneur Ice Cube, continues to give second chances to some of the players who once became household names in the NBA. Aside from Johnson, some of the players who are planning to make their debut for the 3-on-3 league are Lamar Odom, Steve Blake, Shannon Brown, part of the Los Angeles Lakers team that won the 2010 NBA title. Kendrick Perkins and Eddie House, who were part of the 2008 Boston Celtics roster that also won the title that year. Former All-Star Gilbert Arenas, big man Al Jefferson, 3-time Drew League MVP Franklin Session, and European star Dusan Bulut.

Now in their third season, Big3 is once again set to take center-stage once the NBA season is over.

With the constant growth of the Big3, more teams are expected to be formed;
